Dr Timol graduated from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, Dublin in 2003 & undertook Higher Speciality Training ,HST, in Cardiology , which included positions in St James’s , St Vincents’ & Cork University Hospitals. After completion of his HST, he completed a Fellowship in Coronary Intervention at the Belfast Health & Social Care Trust in Northern Ireland & was awarded Specialist Registration in Cardiology in 2015. He was involved in undergraduate & postgraduate teaching & was a sub-investigator in multiple Multi-Centre Clinical Trials

Dr Muhammad Timol worked as a Consultant Cardiologist in the NHS UK, prior to returning to Mauritius in 2019, having spent 21 years in the UK & Ireland , when he was appointed as Consultant Cardiologist at the C-Care Clinic ,including Wellkin & Darne. His field of expertise includes General & Interventional Cardiology, Coronary Angiogram, Angioplasties/Stenting , Including complex intervention/Chronic Total Occlusions & Pacemakers ; has performed in excess of 1300 Angioplaties/Stenting, 3000 Coronary Angiograms , 240 Pacemakers & 6000 Echocardiographies. He is also trained in other interventional modalities such as OCT,IVUS,FFR,BAV & Rotational atherectomy.
